Mrs. W. F. Morrison and Miss French are at North Lake.

Mrs. Sears very pleasantly entertained the Webster Missionary society on last Thursday.

Mrs. Frank Leslie, of Denton, came to attend the funeral of Mrs. Austin Smith.

A social for the benefit of the Congregational church will be held Thursday evening at the parsonage. A cordial invitation is extended to all.

A very sad funeral occurred at the Congregational church on Friday last, it being that of Mrs. Ida Smith Backus, who one year ago moved with her husband and family to Fruitdale, Ala. She leaves behind a husband and four children - Emory, Elsie and Lois and an infant daughter - to mourn her loss. Rev. Mr. Morrison conducted the services, and the body was laid at rest in the family lot.
