Miss Persis Willard, who for a number of years has been in the millinery business in this city, was found dead in her bed at her home, 330 S. Main Street, Sunday morning at 6:30 o’clock by Miss Elliott, who rooms at the house.

A few days ago Miss Willard contracted a severe cold resulting in pneumonia.  As she had no relatives in the city, her neighbors were with her a great deal of the time, some of them being with her during the evening before she died, at which time she apparently felt no worse than usual.

When Miss Elliott went to Miss WIllard’s room she saw that something was wrong and immediately sent for Dr. Kapp, who pronounced Miss Willard dead.

The coroner was summoned, but decided that no inquest was necessary, death having resulted from natural causes.

Miss Willard was born in Churchville N.Y., Sixty-eight years ago and has been a resident of Ann Arbor nearly forty years.  Although of a very retiring disposition she had many friends in Ann Arbor.

The remains were taken to Churchville N.Y., Monday for burial.  The deceased is survived by three sisters, one living in Hudson, Wis., and two in Churchville.
