LIGHTNING BOLT STRUCK HIM
The house occupied by Carl Brooks at Hill street and Fifth avenue was badly damaged about 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon by being struck by lightning.
The roof was badly torn up and several large holes plaughed in the chimney.
An employee of Fred Weinberg, who was at the house when the lightning struck it, was quite painfully hurt. He had a bolt of iron in his hand, which being struck by the lightning communicated with his body and gave him a severe shock.
There was no on in the house when the damage occurred.
