Santos-Dumont Selects Course For St. Louis Contests.

Santos-Dumont departed for New York recently after having arranged details for the great aerial races to take place at St. Louis during the world's far, says the New York World. The course for the races is to be in the form of a figure 8, with a stadium at the intersection of the curves where 5,000 persons can comfortably watch the evolutions of the air craft.

Speed over a ten mile course will be the test of excellence. The trials will take place almost every day from the time the exposition opens until it closes.

"The aeronaut who makes the best average time in the series of trials will win the big prize," said M. Santos-Dumont.
