BRIEF JOTTINGS FROM SALINE

Saline, Mich., May 20 -- The funeral of Mrs. George Hariot was held on Friday at 2 o'clock at her home four miles southwest of Saline. She had been sick only a few hours.

Mrs. Mattie Schaffer, of Lansing, is visiting friends.

Mason & Fainter, of Detroit, bought a car load of fine cattle of Hauser & Berdine to be shipped to Chicago.

Frank Jones and family drove over from Ann Arbor the other day with their phaeton and Shetland ponies -- a very attractive rig.

The Milan and Saline base ball clubs crossed bats last Friday, the score resulting 29 to 12 in favor of Saline.

Mr. and Mrs. A. Laisher spent Sunday in Detroit.

A good many of our people attended the May Festival at Ann Arbor.

Mr. Stewart, superintendent of the brass foundry, and son, and Mr. Harvey and son, of Detroit, spent Sunday with Dr, Wallace.

Misses Katie and Minnie Leith, of Plymouth, were here over Sunday.
