THEY DISCUSSED SIDEWALKS

The sidewalk committee met Wednesday eve to consider the mater of building a sidewalk on Washtenaw avenue from the corner of Hill street to Forest avenue in front of the Phi Kappa Psi, Prof. Demmon, Dr. Hutchins, Bullis and Ford properties.

Professors Lombard, Hutchins and Demmon and George W. Bullis were present and the two latter gentlemen no serious objections to having the sidewalk built, claiming that the fact of there being no sidewalk an that side of the street added to the beauty and rural aspect of their property. Professors Lombard and Hutchins presented built.

The committee, composed of Aldermen Schlenker, Schumacher, Grose and Jenney, seemed to favor the building of the walk, but did not arrive at any decision. They will hold another meeting on Monday evening, at which time they will bring in a report.
