IS IN JAIL WITH HIS PALS

Because of his anxiety to see his companions, who were arrested in the Michigan Central railroad yards the other night, after one of them had attempted to shoot Detective Burroughs, and the account of which was published in the Argus, William Polk is now in the county jail, having been sentenced Friday night by Justice Doty to serve a term of thirty days.

Shortly after 8 o'clock Friday night, Polk appeared at the jail. He was intoxicated and quite boisterous. He asked to see McGraw and Brady, the fellows who were sentenced to ninety days' imprisonment after their fight with Detective Burroughs and Deputy Sheriffs Bert Gillen and Kelsey.

Deputy Sheriff Kelsey, who was at the jail when Polk made his appearance, at once recognized him as the chap who was with Brady and McGraw on the night of the encounter in the railroad yards.

Kelsey arrested Polk and taking the latter to Justice Doty's court he was given a thirty days sentence.
