M'Causland On The Defensive

A motion to quash the suit brought against him by Miss Mamie Simmons, of Mt. Clemens, for breach of promise of marriage, was filed in the county clerk's office Tuesday by Dr. Marshal McCauseland, the young University hospital physician.

This is the suit in which Miss Simmons accuses McCauseland of toying with her affections for several years and then "turning her down" for a new made love in the person of a university hospital nurse.

McCauseland brings the motion to quash on the proceedings on the ground that the plaintiff has no jurisdiction except in his home county, Macomb.
