STRICKEN WITH PARALYSIS

Hugh McGuire, of 733 N. Main street and for many years a resident of this city, was stricken with paralysis at his home last Saturday.

The attack came suddenly and before his family had hardly realized what had happened to him, Mr. McGuire had become speechless. Since the attack, Mr. McGuire has not regained his speech. His right side is also badly affected by the stroke.

Mr. McGuire, who is now almost 70 years of, has worked at the masonry trade here for many years and has a large number of friends in the city. It is thought that the attack Saturday night may prove fatal because of his advanced age.
