WAYNE POLITICIANS HAVE NEW SCHEME
HAVE COOKED UP A PLAN TO DIVIDE THE COUNTY
City of Detroit to be Made into County of Detroit and Wayne Limited to Townships
The Wayne delegation have a new scheme cooked up to get a nomination from the republicans in this congressional district. The Argus has it straight from one of the Wayne leaders. Next winter a bill is to be introduced in the legislature. Toni Navin has agreed to push it. The bill is to make two counties out of Wayne. The city of Detroit is to be made into the county of Detroit and Wayne limited to all the townships. Then the whole county of Wayne is to be put into the second congressional district. This will add the townships which are now in Sam Smith's district and will give Wayne a much larger delegation.
The Wayne men present at Adrian agreed to push this scheme in the next legislature.
