NEWS NUGGETS FROM MILAN

Milan, June 5. - Mr. Myron Webb, who lives with his daughter, Mrs. C. M. Blacker, received a paralytic stroke Sunday afternoon and is very ill at present. He is 79 years of age and was in feeble health before this stroke.

Mrs. C. Farmer, of Toledo, O., is the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Blackmer.

Ernest Luxton returned Monday from his Detroit visit.

Mr. and Mrs. Willard Hathaway and children, of Detroit, are the guests of Mrs. O. P. Newcomb, of Hurd street.

Mr. Tremper, of the Normal college, spent Sunday visiting friends.

Mrs. Charles Schmitt was called to Canada by the death of her father, Mr. Adam Huff, Saturday.

Mr. Charles Pullen attended the Michigan club banquet of Detroit Saturday. He was one of the committee to escort the guests from the depots to the banquet hall. 

The Birthday Club gave Mrs. W. H. Housman a surprise Tuesday afternoon. A very dainty supper was served and all had an enjoyable time.

The Baccalaureate sermon will be delivered June 8 by Rev. H. A. Field in the evening at the M. E. church.

Mrs. J. Bernap is visiting friends in Detroit this week.

Mrs. Wm. Lingle is the guest of her sister in Detroit this week.

Mr. Green is putting down a cement walk in front of the Barnes block on Main Street.

Mr. and Mrs. McMullen are entertaining friends from out of town this week.

Mrs. Mary Wallace is having her house on East Main Street painted white.

School will be closed next week for the summer vacation.

Mrs. Horace Allen returned Monday afternoon from her visit in Monroe.
