LADIES' UNION ELECT OFFICERS

Committees Were Appointed Wednesday Afternoon

Unitarian State Conference Will be Asked to Hold Next Meeting

At the annual meeting of the active members of the Ladies' Union held in the parlors of the Unitarian church Wednesday afternoon the following officers were elected for the coming year: President, Mrs. W. H. Pete; vice-president, Mrs. Walter B. Ford; secretary, Mrs. Frank Leverett; treasurer, Mrs. Byron A. Finney.

The program committee of which Mrs. Karl E. Guthe was chosen chairman, consists of the following: Mesdames Hastreiter, Crooker, Jordan, Fiske, Finney, Stonebraker, Robinson, Davis, Eggert, Cornwell, Soul, Herdman, Dailey, Vaughan, Richards, Slauson, Springer, and the Misses Hunger, Whedon, Hunt and Goodrich.

A committee consisting of Mesdames McCotter, Stivers and Greggs was appointed to look after the refreshments which are served at the regular Wednesday meetings.

The committee on current events consist of Mesdames Jordan and Crookes.

The reading of the reports of the secretary and the chairmen of the standing committees show that the society is in a very flourishing condition, the present membership numbering 123.

After the election of officers it was decided to invite the state conference of the Unitarian church to hold its meeting in Ann Arbor next fall. The secretary was instructed to send the invitation in the name of the Ladies' Union as soon as possible. It was also decided to present the books which have been procured by the club during the year for review to the church library.
