HE HAD A NARROW ESCAPE
Gustave Mohrlock, a carpenter employed by Sauer, the contractor, came near meeting with a serious accident Monday.
He was working in the elevator shaft at Mack & Co.'s store, leaning over his work when the heavy weights connected with the elevator came down, striking Mohrlock on the back of the head and forcing his face down against a railing, bruising his face and head very severely and stunning him for a few moments. His escape from more serious injury was miraculous.
