Frank Warner Paroled. - Governor Bliss has paroled Frank Warner, who was sent from Kent county to Ionia for five years for burglary.

Port Huron Has a Yacht Club. - A yacht club was organized at Port Huron Tuesday night by local yachtsmen and a regatta will be given Sept. 7.

Check Forger Got Off Easy. - Harry Burchfield of Erie, Pa., was sentenced to sixty days in jail by Justice Daly of Mt. Clemens in default of $50 fine. Burchfield was caught Decoration day passing forged checks for small sums.

More Assessment for Muskegon. - At a meeting of the board of review, City Assessor Max Lange presented the tax roll and it showed an increase of more thatn $1,000,000 over the last year, the total for 1901 being $6,461,640, and for 1902 $7,257,965.

Row in St. Joe City Council. - There were sensational developments in the St. Joseph city council fight Tuesday night. All the democratic aldarmen left the city, refusing to attend the meeting, and the monthly bills could not be passed. It is claimed that Chief of Police Morton caused the trouble.

U.P. Saengerfest at Calumet. - The fourth annual saengerfest of the Upper Peninsula Saengerbund will be held in Calumet June 20-21, under the auspices of the Calumet Maennerchor. Great preparations are being made by the local organization and the celebration promises to be one of the most successful held.

Count Served a Sentence. -Count Adolph Koscinski, whose title belongs to the blue book of Poland, was discharged from the Detroit house of correction Wednesday after serving a twenty months' sentence for larceny. His father was killed in the Polish rebellion, and soon after the son came to the United States, going first to Texas. He learned chair making in prison.
