Little Tot Wandered Away

Edith Love, the little three years old daughter of James Love, of 1157 Baldwin avenue, left her home about 7 p. m. Thursday, June 5, with 5 cents to buy candy. About 9 o'clock she was found at the corner of Main and Kingsley streets by Deputy Sheriff Fred Gillen. He had just reached the jail with his charge when the child's father requested by telephone that a search be made for the little one as he feared she was lost. The child was later taken home. She was not at all disconcerted over her adventure, merely explaining in a childish treble that she had come down town to to buy candy.
