BEGINS SUIT FOR BOARD BILL

Martha Smothers, the colored woman who came into considerable notoriety about a year ago by commencing suit against a student on a paternity charge, was the principal in a suit begun in Justice Gibson's court Saturday.

Some months ago, it seems, the Smothers woman wrote to Elizabeth Nelson, another colored woman, of Cincinnati, to come here and live with her. The Nelson woman responded and arriving here took up her abode at the Smothers home. Lately, it seems, there has been discord among the two women, the result being that the Smothers woman is trying to make Elizabeth Nelson pay a board bill which complainant says is due her.
