POPE WAS LET OFF EASILY
Sanford Pope, the pugilist, who was arrested last week on the charge of stealing oats from the barn of George Blaich, of 1219 S. University avenue, was discharged Monday morning on the payment of the costs in the case by Justice Doty.
Pope, it is understood paid Mr Blaich the value of the property he had taken and as a result the prosecution dealt with him leniently.
