Emma E. Bower Great Record Keeper

A dispatch from Marquette, where the biennial convention of the K. O. T. M. and L. O. T. M. has been in session for several days, makes the announcement that Miss Emma E. Bower, of this city has been unanimously re-elected Great Hive of Michigan.

The announcement has been received with a great deal of pleasure by her friends here, and there is little doubt that it will meet with the warm approbation of the Maccabees of the entire state, among whom Miss Bower has been known as a faithful and efficient servant of the order.

Her only opposition in her candidacy for re-election was in the person of Mrs. Leota Becker Maxwell, who put up enthusiastic canvass for the office, but whose chances dwindled away perceptibly as the time for the convention approached, Miss Bower will also fill the office of editor of the Lady Maccabee.
