"PLEASE MAKE IT PLEASANT? FOR THEM"

THE REQUEST OF FRIENDS OF NEWLY MARRIED COUPLE

Happy Pair Were Miss Margaret Nickerson of Adrian and Fred S. Welch of Chelsea

Chelsea, June 25.-- One of the events of the season occurred at the M. E. church here yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock, when Miss Margaret Nickerson, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. J. Q. Nickerson, of Adrian, was united in marriage to Mr. Fred S. Welch, of this place. The ceremony was performed by the bride's father, who was assisted by the Rev. Geo. B. Marsh, of Tipton, and was witnessed by a number of invited guests. Miss Ella Nickerson, sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid and Henry I. Stimson, of this village, was best man for the groom. After the church services there was a wedding dinner and reception tendered the young couple at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank P. Glazier, where about 80 Invited guests assembled to congratulate the newly married couple.

Mr. and Mrs. Welch left on a late train for Detroit, where they embarked on one of the outgoing boats for a trip around the lakes. Their trunks were liberally decorated with "Just married," and each passenger on the train between Chelsea and Ann Arbor was given a card that read as follows:

"Dear Public: "This Card, presented to the Happy Couple, is good for one Introduction to Mr. and Mrs. Fred S. Welch, just married! Please Make It Pleasant (?) For Them ! !"

Mr. and Mrs. Welch will make their future home in Chelsea.
