Gotthilf Lutz, the local agent of the Schlitz Brewing company, mention of whose skipping out suddenly is made elsewhere in this paper, has been heard from again. John Berger, who was on his bonds, received a letter from him today postmarked Milwaukee. In this letter he states that it would do no good to hunt for him as they would not find him, as he would be thousands of miles away. The letter that his wife received yesterday was postmarked Chicago.

George H. Alber, the manager of the Toledo branch of the Schlitz brewery, was in the city yesterday and has placed John Berger in charge of the business here until other arrangements can be made. Mr. Alber will be here again next week to examine Lutz's accounts. He said that Lutz had received a salary of $100 a month from the company.
