BRIEF NOTES FROM CHELSEA

Chelsea, June 27.-- La Fayette grange will meet at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Sweetland, in this village, Wednesday, July 2, at one o'clock.

Charles W. Miller, of this village, who graduated last week from the Detroit Dental College, will locate at Augusta.

Orin Riemenschneider, son of Postmaster Riemenschneider, and a recent graduate of the Dental department of the U. of M., has located at Kalamazoo, where he will practice his profession.

At the Methodist church next Sunday will occur the last quarterly meeting of the conference year. Love feast will be held at 9:30 o'clock; preaching service at 10:30, sermon by Presiding Eider Ryan. Quarterly conference will be held in the church study Monday evening at 8 o'clock.

Henry Heininger, of Lima, a few days ago brought two samples of milk to the creamery here from the same cow to be tested. One was from the very first milk taken from the cow and the other from the last. The first sample tested but 1.4 per cent butter fat and the last 7.4 per cent.

The members of St. Mary's parish held an ice cream social at the opera house Wednesday evening, and they presented Rev. Fr. Considine, who leaves shortly for Rome, with a purse of over $500.

On Wednesday, June 25, at Waterloo, occurred the marriage of Rev. A. T. Camburn and Miss Anna Sweet, both of that place. Rev. Dr. Ryan, of Ypsilanti, performed the ceremony.

There will be a special meeting of the O. E. S. this evening for the purpose of initiation.

The Juganvrien of St. Paul's church have changed the hour of their meeting from 7:30 to 6:30 as heretofore.
