NOTICE OF LETTING OF DRAIN CONTRACT.

NOTICE is hereby given, that I. D. W. Barry, County Drain Commissioner of the County of Washtenaw and State of Michigan, will, on the tenth day of July A. D., 1902, at the lower end of drain on the e 1/2 of n e 1/4, Section 21, in the Township of Augusta, in said County of Washtenaw, at ten o'clock in the forenoon of that day, proceed to receive bids for the cleaning out of a certain Drain known and designated as "Bishop and Cady Drain," located and established in the township of Augusta, in said County of Washtenaw and described as follows, to-wit:

Commencing 130 feet west of the Southeast corner of the n 1/2 of 8 1/2 of n w 1/4 of Sec 21. T. 4 S. R. 7 E, thence running in a westerly direction across a portion of Section 21 and 20, to the s w corner of the n w 1/4 of the n e 1/4 of Section 20 and there terminating.

Said job will be let by sections The section at the outlet of said Drain will be let first, and the remaining sections in their order up stream, in accordance with the diagram now on file with the other paper pertaining to said Drain in the office of the County Drain Commissioner of the said County of Washtenaw, to which roference may be had by all parties interested and bids will be made and received accordingly. Contracts will be made with the lowest responsible bidder giving adequate security for the performance of the work, in a sum then and there to be fixed by me, reserving to myself the right to reject any and all bids. The date for the completion of such contract, and the terms of payment therefor, shall and will be announced at the time and place of letting.

Notice is further hereby given, that at the time and place of said letting, or at such other time and place thereafter to which I, the county Drain Commissioner aforesaid, may adjourn the same the assessments for benefits and the lands comprised within the "Bishop and Cady Dram Special Assessment District," and the apportionments thereof will be announced by me and will be subject to review for one day, from nine o'clock in the forenoon until five o'clock in the afternoon.

The following is a description of the several tracts or parcels of land constituting the Special Assessment District of said Drain, viz: the n e 1/4 of the n w 1/4 of Section 20, the n w 1/4 of the n e 1/4 Section 20, n e 1/4 of n e 1/4 Sec 20, the s 1/2 of n of n w 1/4 Section 21, the n 1/2 of s 1/2 of n w 1/4 Section 21, the n 1/2 of n 1/2 of w 1/2 of n w 1/4 Section 21, the s e 1/4 of n w 1/4 of Section 20, the s w 1/4 of n e 1/4 Section 20, s e 1/4 of n e 1/4 Section 20, the e 1/2 of n e 1/2  of s e 1/4 Section 20, e 1/4 of s e 1/4 Section 20, s 1/4 of s w 1/4 Section 21, n w 1/4 of s w 1/4. Also the township of Augusta at large will be liable to assessment.

Now, therefore, all unknown and non-resident persons, owners and persons interested in the above described lands, and you, Peter Stouler, Frank Cady, W. S. Bishop, H. Nugent, E. Minzy, A. Minzy. Fred Schuldt, Burton Prior, H. Vedder, the Supervisor and Highway Commissioner of the Township of Augusta, are hereby notified that at the time and place aforesaid, or at such other time and place thereafter to which said hearing may be adjourned, I shall proceed to receive bids for the cleaning out of said "Bishop and Cady Drain," in the manner hereinbefore stated; and, also, that at such time of letting from nine o'clock in the forenoon until five o'clock in the afternoon, the assessment for benefits and the lands comprised within the Bishop and Cady Drain Special Assessment Districts will be subject to review.

And you and each of you, owners and persons interested; in the aforesaid lands, are hereby cited to appear at the time and place of such letting as aforesaid, and be heard with respect to such special assessments and your interest in relation thereto, if you so desire.
