Broke Into Summer Cottages

Some vandals have been breaking into the cottages at Portage lake and committing all sorts of depredations. Not only have they stolen many dollars worth of fishing tackle belonging to Ypsilanti owners of cottages, but have committed various other acts of pure cussedness. The association owning these cottages has offered a reward of $75 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the scoundrels, and Sheriff Gillen has added $25 to the amount. Some of the acts committed indicate a spirit of pure wantonness. The whipping post is the only proper punishment for such villains.
