The marriage of Miss Nan Harris to Mr. George H. Matting, of Columbus, O., occurred Tuesday morning at half past ten at the home of the bride's mother on Washtenaw avenue. It was an impressive, unique and altogether charming affair. The decorations and ceremony were simple in accordance with the custom of the Friends' church, of which the bride is a member. The decorations were of green and white. A harpist, seated behind a screen of palms, rendered appropriate selections during the assembling of guests and the ceremony. The bride, looking her best, gowned in a beautiful dark brown tailor suit, was given away by her brother, J. Wistar Harris, of Chicago. The first part of the service was that of the Friends' church, in which the bride and groom themselves repeat the marriage ceremony; the latter part was that of the Episcopal church, Rev. C. S. Patton officiating, closing with the Lord's prayer in which all present joined. Only the immediate relatives and the most intimate friends were present. Mr. and Mr. Marting will be at home after September 1 at Columbus, Ohio.
