Local News Notes From Belleville
Belleville, Sept. 15.- The "Old Settlers' " picnic which was at Rolland Fletcher's yesterday was attended by about 150. A good visit, a fine ball game and an excellent dinner was what constituted the entertainment.
Mrs. Fred Fehlig is a guest this week of her grandparents in Canton township.
Dr. and Mrs. E. B. Kellogg visited their parents Monday and Tuesday at Chelsea.
The Helping Hand society met at Mrs. David Owens' last Thursday. Nine dollars and seventy cents was given for the pastor, Rev. Stanley Shaw. There were lots of fine music and speaking and refreshments were served.
Miss Sarah Coates is visiting relatives and friends at Plymouth this week.
Wm. Anderson has purchased the Wm. Rowe farm in Willow Run district.
Eugene Koch and Ernest Galpin called on Misses Sarah and Edith Coates last Wednesday evening.
Miss Iva Spears was the guest of Wayne friends last week.
Robert Coates entertained his brother. William Coates, and family, of Ypsilanti, last Sunday.
