AMERICAN EXPRESS CHANGES AGENTS

T. G. Hines, agent for the American Express Co., has resigned his position in order to accept a more lucrative one as route agent on the railroads of the state. His headquarters will be at Lansing. As a slight token of the respect and friendship, the employees of the office presented Mr. Hines with a very handsome umbrella.

Mr. Hines is a wide awake business man, and is one of the most popular men who has had charge of the office in this city. He has won the admiration and respect, not only of the men with whom he is associated in his office, but with everyone who has had any business dealings with him.

Mr. Reid, of Toledo, who has for the past year been acting as express messenger on the Ann Arbor road, has been appointed to the position vacated by Mr. Hines, and has taken up his new duties.
