LIVED IN NORTHFIELD
Rosina, 11-Year Old Daughter of Conrad Schmidt Shot Sunday Afternoon
Rosina, the little 11 years old daughter of Conrad Schmide, of Northfield, lies hovering between life and death from a gun-shot wound in her left temple. She was sitting in the parlor Sunday afternoon when a little son of James Gates picked up a shot gun in the hall and in some manner the gun was accidentally discharged, the bullet striking Rosina in the left temple. Dr. Cooper, of Plymouth, was called in haste and later Dr. John Kapp, who probed for the bullet, but failed to find it. A piece of the skull was found to have been driven two inches into the brain. She is in a very precarious condition with very little hope of recovery.
