SEPTEMBER THIRD IN RANK OF WETNESS
PROF. HALL GIVES OUT A FEW INTERESTING FIGURES
Nineteen-Two Breaks All the Records for Humidity - July Being the Dampest of the Lot
"The official record for September's rainfall is 6.1 inches," says Prof. Hall, of the University observatory. "This brings September up to third place in the amount of ranfall this season, July registering 10.70 inches and June 7.56 inches. If the rest of the months keep on the way the past nine have been going, the season of 1902 which is already a record-breaker on rainfalls, will leave every previous year completely out of sight."
"But when will it end?" the Argus asked.
Whereat Prof. Hall looked mysterious and shook his head.
