CAPT. E. P. ALLEN DULY NOMINATED

The republican representative convention at Chelsea for the second district, duly nominated Capt. E. P. Allen Monday. Charles Gauntlett, of York, presided as chairman and O. T. Hoover was secretary. The resolutions adopted at Grand Rapids were indorsed. The secretary was instructed to cast a unanimous ballot for Capt. Allen. He was not present, but W. H. Sweet, in his behalf, said that he would accept the nomination and would enter the campaign with the purpose of winning. Capt. Allen was authorized to select his committee.
