Washington, Oct. 9. - His royal highness, Chowfa Maha Vajiravudh, crown prince of Siam, 'will arrive in Weshington Saturday morning to pay his respects to the president of the United States. He is expected to arrive at New YoTk on the steamer Furst Bismarck today or Friday, and will be met by a commission appointed by the president, consisting of H. H. Peirce, third assistant secretary of state; D. B. Sickles of New York, formerly United States consul-general at Bangkok, as a personal representative of President Roosevelt, and Edwin Morgan of the state department. The Siamese minister and members of his legation also will greet the royal party on its arrival at ïsew York. The party will be brought to this city on a special train, arriving here about 8 o'clock in the morning, and will be received by the president, if his condition will permit it, at the temporary White House at 11 o'clock. Saturday evoning tne party will be entertained at d inner by Secretary Hay, and Sunday evening a dinner will be given in honor of the visitors by tiie Siamese minister.
