TWENTY DOCKED HORSES IN COUNTY
OWNERS OF DOCKED HORSES BE SENT TO JAIL.
Unless They Have Registered Their Animals With the County Clerk.
There are supposed to be only 20 horses with docked tails in Washtenaw county. There is a severe law against docking horses and the post against docking horses and the posfacie evidence of of guilt unless you have the horse registered with the county clerk. Every time a docked is brought into this county, or is sold, it must be registered with the county clerk or else the owner is liable to be fined and sent to jail. This matter is brought to the attention by the fact that Polhemus livery has just registered two docked which they have purchased. In all there are 20 docked horses registered. If there are more than that number in the county somebody is liable to catch it.
