Memphis, Oct. 23. - A world's record was made at the Memphis trotting track Wednesday afternoon in the first race, a free-for-all pace to wagon, with amateur drivers. dith W., driven by Frank G. Jones of Memphis, and Fred S. Wedgewood, handled by C. K. G. Billings of Chicago, were the contestants, the former winning both heats, each being paced in 2:05 3/4. The Judges announced that this was a new record for two heats for a mare.
