Pitched Him Into the River.

Jackson, Mich., Oct. 30. - M. S. Lyons, seventy years of age, was caught on the high bridge yesterday afternoon in front of the Michigan Central railway's "Chicago and Boston Special" passenger train. He laid down and escaped being struck until the chain car, with its low steps, came along. This step hit him and threw him into the river. He was fished out and will live.
