HE IS NO MAN'S MAN.

The straightforward, manly letter of Senator-elect Glazier published in last week's Argus indicated where he is at on the question of University interests as well as all the other interests of this senatorial district. He proclaims to all that no matter what any other man's position may be he is for the University, the State Normal College and all the other interests of the tenth senatorial district. This seems to be pretty nearly a defi to the boss who has made his threats as to what he would do, if the University voters did not get in line. Now let's see whether he will do as he said he would do. At any rate he will not have Senator-elect Glazier with him in any efforts of this kind. The Argus having thoroughly aired the boasted designs of the boss it is probable that he will find he does not control the more than three=fourths of the senators whose nominations he claimed to have influenced and the ninety members of the house.

The defeat of Governor Bliss in Detroit and Saginaw is a pretty sure indications of the view taken by the voters of those cities as to his action in signing the ripper bills. The governor's defeat in Wayne by nearly 11,000 shows how odious ripperism is in that city.
