HAVE PLAYED TWO TIE GAMES
SOPHOMORES AND FRESHMEN HIGH SCHOOL TEAMS.
Seem to be a Very Even Match-A Third Game is Necessary to Pick Winner.
Tuesday at the fair grounds the freshmen and sophomore of the high school played their second tie game of football for this season. Last week they played a 5-5 score game, and yesterday neither side succeeded in making a touchdown. The freshmen were the stronger both on defense and offense, but the sophomores were particularly successful in punting. Allmendinger, for the freshmen, made the only spectacular run, when, toward the close of the first half, he broke through the opposing line for a gain of 30 yards.
Another game between the two classes may be played at the end of the week, and if so, the winners of this contest will meet the winners of the senior-junior game, which will be pulled off sometime in the near future.
