While no robberies in the city Thanksgiving were reported to the police here, there seems to have been some while the crowds were leaving on the trains as the following dispatches to the Detroit News Saturday evening seem to indicate:

Coldwater, Mich., Nov. 29. - Deputy Sheriff Ezra Shoecraft attended the football game at Ann Arbor, accompanying the boys from here as a sort of protector. However, a light-fingered fellow relieved him of $23, leaving the deputy just 3 cents.

Lansing, Mich., Nov. 29. - Harvey Clippinger reports the loss of a $200 diamond at Ann Arbor Thanksgiving day. A gang of professional light-fingered gentry worked in the M. C. R. depot. Every few minutes they would start a movement for the platform, leading people to believe the train was coming. In the rush for the door the chaps got in their work, no less than five valuable diamonds being taken from different persons, netting the thieves fully $1,000.
