AN AUNT SUES A NEPHEW

And Two Nieces on an Old Claim

SHE WANTS HER SHARE

Of Estate of Her Father Who Died Twenty-Eight Years Ago.

Mrs. Catherine C. Millspaugh has commenced suit in the circuit court against her nephew and nieces, Adam Lee Yeckley, May Yeckley and Alvina Yeckley. Mrs. Millspaugh sets forth petition that she was the daughter of Adam Yeckley, who died June 11, 1874, leaving an estate valued at $8,000, which he had conveyed by deed to her brother W. Irvin Yeckley. Afterwards he made a will concerning the same property. After Adam Yeckley's death, the son commenced suit against his mother to establish his title to the homestead under the deed. The mother settled the suit with him and took a mortgage back on the place to secure her life lease. He was also, says the bill, to secure by mortgage the payment of $400 and a Iike sum to the other two children of Adam Yeckley, under the understanding with the father. This $400 mortgage was executed, but never delivered and was in W. Irvin Yeckley's possession at the time of his death, Dec. 29, 1901. Before his death he deeded the same property which he had from his father to his son, Adam Lee Yeckley, and the two daughters received his life insurance. Now Mrs. Millspaugh wants the mortgage and $696 interest decreed to be hers and she also desires to foreclose the mortgage. And thus it comes about that an aunt sues a nephew and two nieces.
