Samoan Craters In Action

Washington, Dec. 18.- The state department has received from United States Consul Heimrod, at Apia, Samoa, report that on Nov. 2 last two supposedly extinct craters in the volcano of Manga, Apia, on the island of Savali, broke into violent eruptions. Heavy earthquake shocks preceded the volcano outbreak. No lives were lost.
