NATIONAL MODERN LANGUAGE ASSOCIATION MEETS.

Prof. George Hempl, of the University of Michigan, was elected president of the Modern Language Association of America which closed its annual convention at Baltimore, Wednesday. Prof. Hempl well deserved the honor conferred upon him, which is also an honor to the University of Michigan.

Ann Arbor was selected as the place where the next annual convention is to be held and some of the foremost educators in languages are expected to be present here.
