House Rent Exceeds His Salary.

Berlin. Jan. 22.- Ambassador Tower has nearly closed the lease of a stately residence on Koenigsplatz, near the reichstag building and overlooking Thiergarten. The rent considerably exceeds the ambassador's salary, which is true also in the case of the American embassies at London, Paris and St. Petersburg.
