LADIES' AID SOCIETY OF ZION CHURCH

DELIGHTFULLY ENTERTAINED BY MRS. FREDERICK SCHMID

It Was the Fourteenth Anniversary - Covers Were Laid for 100 Members

The Ladies' Aid society of the Zion Lutheran church were delightfully entertained by Mrs. Frederick Schmid Jan. 22 at her beautiful home on S. Fifth avenue, it being the 14th anniversary of the society, of which Mrs. Schmid has been treasurer for the past 11 years. Elaborate refreshments were served, covers being laid for 100 members. The rooms were beautifully decorated with palms, ferns and flowers in profusion.

Mrs. Schmid was assisted in receiving by Mrs. C. Mack, Miss A. Mann and Miss S. Schmid. Those assisting in serving were Mesdames E. Mann, G. Josenhans, A. Muehlig and Misses Emma Schmid, J. Kirchofer and C. Theurer. Mrs. John Muehlig presided at the coffee urn.

During the afternoon both vocal and instrumental selections were rendered. The recitation by Miss Gertrude was especially pleasing to all.

The ladies spent a pleasant afternoon and voted Mrs. Schmid a charming hostess.
