Death Of Miss Abbie Maynard

  Miss Abbie S. Maynard, daughter of William S. Maynard, died yesterday, aged 69 years. The remains were interred in Forest Hill cemetery at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday. Mr. Maynard was formerly a merchant prince of this city. He was one of those who gave the campus to the University. Among other fads he took up was mesmerism and it was believed by old residents that the daughter who has just died has had her mental powers weakened by having been frequently mesmerized when a child.
