There is on deposit in the banks of Ann Arbor, according to to the bank statements just issued, the vast sum of $3,568,179.18.

This is $697,812.44 more than was on deposit at this same date two years ago, when the bank deposits were $2,870,366.44.

The resources of the banks amount to $4,146,179.80 as against $3,405,175.17 two years ago.

The bank statements make a most excellent showing for Ann Arbor. There is on deposit in Ann Arbor more than $70 for every man, woman and child in the whole county.

How large a sum of money is deposited can be gleaned by the fact that if a man counted $100 every minute and counted eight hours a day steady, it would take him over 74 days to count the money on deposit.

Every bank in the city shows a gain in both deposits and resources over two years ago.

The increase in two years in the deposits has been over 24 per cent.

Which of the smaller cities can make a better showing than this?

Who says Ann Arbor is not prospering?
