A very pretty home wedding occurred at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. L. J. Smith Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. when their daughter, Miss Lois became the bride of Fred J. Austin, of Brooklyn, N. Y. Owing to the poor health of the bride the wedding was a small one, only the relatives and most intimate friends being present.

The bride as becomingly gowned in white mousseline de soie elaborately trimmed with Val lace. She carried a bouquet of orange blossoms and wore them in her hair. The beautiful ring ceremony was read by Rev. T. W. Young, the bridal pair standing In the parlor amidst the family and friends.

After the ceremony the guests repaired to the dining room, which was beautifully decorated in pink and white.

Miss Smith has been for several years a very popular teacher in the Christian Mack school. She will be remembered by many as the lucky young woman who won the $2,500 prize in the guessing contest conducted by the Free Press some time ago.

About a month ago Miss Smith's health broke down and she has been confined to her bed with nervous prostration. She has gained rapidly during the past few days and in spite of the fears of her friends, was her old charming self last evening.

Mr. Austin was graduated in 1897 from the pharmacy department and afterward took a post graduate course. He was considered one of the brightest men in his department. He is a member of the Phi Chi fraternity. He has a very fine position in Brooklyn in a large laboratory as expert chemist.

Mr. and Mrs. Austin Ieft Iast for evening for their new home. They will make several stops on the way, to make the trip easier for Mrs. Austin.
