The Ann Arbor City Ice Co. held its annual meeting Tuesday and elected the following director: Fred H. Belser, Charles A. Ward, O. M. Martin, Comstock Hill and James R. Bach. The directors elected the following officers: Fred H. Belser, president: Chas. A. Ward, vice president, and James H. Bach, secretary and treasurer. The company is in a very prosperous condition. They have eight icehouses filled with as fine ice as has ever been harvested. More ice has been put up this year than usual by the company which has a stock of about 12,000 tons. They have been fortunate in getting their icehouses filled, as many icehouses at the neighboring lakes are reported to be only about half filled.

George Bowles, of Ypsilanti, has filed a bill in the circuit court asking for a divorce from his wife Rebecca Bowles, whom he married May 21, 1886, and with whom he lived until last November, when, he charges, she deserted him and afterwards had him arrested for non-support. He charges extreme cruelty, striking him when he would not strike back because she was a woman. They have two children, 14 and 15 years of age.
