QUAY TOO BUSY TO FISH

Senator Quay of Pennsylvania wlll allow nothing to divert him frorn the statebood flght, although various schenies have been proposed, says a Washington special to the Philadelphla Press.

   One of the latest is a telegram from a friend in Florida who thinks the senator is making a mlstake in fighting for the statehood bill. Hoping to lure the senator from. Washington the friend sent Min the following dispatch:        Flshlng was never so good. Tarpon are blting furiously.    When Mr. Quay received the message he smiled grimly and dictated the following answer:

   The tarpon may be bltlng, but I am not.

   M.S. QUAY
