Mayor-elect Brown has selected two members of his official cabinet. Deputy Sheriff Orton M. Kelsey is to be the next marshal of Ann Arbor. Mr. Kelsey is a good officer and is well acquainted with the duties of the office. Mr. Brown has also announced his determination to appoint as city atorney, Thomas D. Kearney. Mr. Kearney made a good judgment and will not be apt to involve the city in costly litigation.

The appointment of city attorney will be made early as Mr. Sawyer, immediately after election, asked Mr. Brown to name his successor at once as he did not desire to hold the office longer.
