ANN ARBOR GIRL MOTHER OF TWINS

Many of our readers who remember Miss Mary Frothingham, a former Ann Arbor girl, will be interested in the following from the Detroit Evening News:

Upper Woodward avenue has redeemed itself for the first time in many years from the well known aspersion of the late Gov. Pingree, that the Stork never drove down that aristocratic avenue when delivering his prize packages. Two dimpling baby girls arrived Thursday afternoon, at the home of Mrs. George Frothingham, 700 Woodward avenue, of which the proud and happy young mother is Mrs. Jacob Schick, nee Miss Mary Frothingham.

Lieut. Jacob Schick, whose engagement to pretty Miss Frothingham was announced at a delightful dinner given at the Frothingham home, just a year ago, is now on his way to Manila with his regiment, the 14th infantry, and the news that he has reached the dignity of a paterfamilias will await his arrival there in a cable message.

The young soldier sailed for the Philippines March 1, bringing his girl wife down from Fort Brady to her mother's home in this city, just previous to his departure. It will be many months before he sees his twin girls, as Mrs. Schick will probably not sail for the Philippines before fall, even should she decide to try the climate there, for the little ones. Mother and babies are getting along nicely in the midst of their adoring relatives.
