Suspended From Red Cross

 

   New York, April 9.- Walter P. Phillips, a member of Clara Barton's inner board of control of the Red Cross Society, has issued an announcement that the executive committee of the society has suspended from membership what is known as the Washington "minority," or those members who have been trying to oust Miss Barton from the presidency. Among the Washingtonians suspended are Gen. John M. Wilson, W. K. Van Reypen, surgeon-general of the navy; John W Foster. farmer secretary of state; Harriet Blaine Beale, daughter of James O. Blaine: Anna Roosevelt, and Hilary A. Herbert, former secretary of the navy.
