Fought Duel Unto Death

   Sherman, Texas, April 9. - Gen. L. Thompson, cashier of the Bank of Commerce, was shot to death here by W. E. Stone, of Texarcana. They met on the street and without any preliminary words drew their revolvers and opened fire. Thompson was struck and fell mortally wounded. He died a few hours later. Stone is a traveling salesman for a Dayton, O., house. He says it was a family difficulty.
